Brotcke Well & Pump Company, Inc., (BWP) is a full service design-construct, municipal and industrial water well and pump service contractor. For over 30 years, BWP has been providing water-related engineering and construction services to clients throughout the Midwest including Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas and Kentucky. We install potable water wells and repair a variety of pumps for municipalities and industries throughout our service area. CME Drilling Superintendent

Brotcke Well & Pump provides geotechnical and environmental drilling services throughout Missouri and Illinois and extends into parts of Kansas, Arkansas and Kentucky.

We are seeking a Drilling Superintendent. This person will perform the following duties:

  • Drill geotechnical borings using a CME 550 or 750 drill rig to depths of up to 120 feet.  Drilling will start with hollow stem augers and convert to mud rotary once sands are reached. Must be able to sample the borings with split spoon samplers and Shelby tubes.  Rock coring skills are required.
  • Drill environmental borings with a CME 550 or 750 drill rig. Collect samples as needed.  Additional site activities will include coordinating decontamination activities, drum storage and site cleanup.
  • Direct Push sampling using a Geoprobe rig
  • Preparation of equipment, materials and tooling for field work
  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair

PAY:

Salary will be based on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years of CME rig operator experience
  • A Class A CDL (or obtained within 3 months of employment) and clean driving record
  • Weekday travel within a three-hour radius of St. Louis (hotel and per diem are paid by BWP)

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidates will have 5 years of CME rig drilling experience, strong leadership skills, be a self-starter, have strong mechanical abilities.

Pump Superintendent

A Pump Superintendent for Brotcke Well & Pump will perform with the following duties:

  • Perform pump tests
  • Pull pump settings from water wells
  • Teardown, inspect and troubleshoot pumps and component parts
  • Repair pumps and reassemble
  • Reinstall pump settings in water supply well
  • Chemically treat water supply wells using the BWP High Velocity Injection method.
  • Welding (stick and mig)
  • Fabrication of specialized tooling
  • Preparation of equipment, materials and tooling for field installations
  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.

Additionally, Superintendents are required to keep accurate records of field activities, pump test results and customer communications.

PAY:

Salary will be based on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Class A CDL and clean driving record
  • Some weekday travel within a three-hour radius of Kansas City (hotel and per diem are paid by BWP)

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in the water supply industry, leadership skills, be a self-starter, have strong mechanical abilities, welding skills and a basic understanding of electrical wiring.

Reverse Rotary Rig Operator

A Reverse Rotary Rig Operator for Brotcke Well & Pump will perform with the following duties:

  • Drill potable water wells in unconsolidated formations using a Portadrill RV-6
  • Develop and test pump completed well
  • Install screen, casing, gravel pack and pitless adaptors and pump settings
  • Stick welding
  • Fabrication of specialized tooling
  • Preparation of equipment, materials and tooling for field installations
  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair

Additionally, Reverse Circulation Drillers are required to keep accurate records of field activities and customer communications.

PAY:

Salary will be based on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Class A CDL and clean driving record
  • Minimum of 10 years of Reverse Circulation Drilling experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidates will have at least ten years of experience, leadership skills, be a self-starter, have strong mechanical abilities and welding skills.

Field Assistant

A Field Assistant will assist with the following duties:

  • Well maintenance
  • Rebuilding pump settings
  • Drilling wells
  • Installing pumps

PAY:

Starting pay is $22/hour with a Class A CDL. Additionally, many of our jobs require prevailing wages be paid. This can mean that field workers might receive up to an additional $10-15 per hour, depending on the location of the job.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Class A CDL
  • Weekday travel within a three-hour radius of St. Louis (crews may be out of town for three to four nights each week)
